Dear Customer,

As agents of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) , we can proudly inform you that our principals decided as from week 22 to add  a new port of call , resp. ALIAGA  to our weekly schedule into Turkey . MSC will call the private terminal NEMPORT, situated in the Nemrut bay. ALIAGA, the new port of call, is about 50 kilometres North of Izmir.   

We want to stress that MSC will continue as well calling Izmir, the state owned terminal. By calling both ports Izmir and Aliaga, MSC is covering the whole area in and around Izmir Southbound and Northbound with good connections to the main industrial areas.

It's up to the customer, shipper and receiver to decide which port is the most convenient.

It's important to mention on your bookings the correct port of discharge / loading: ALIAGA   or IZMIR because bill's of lading will be issued accordingly. 

We want to take the opportunity to recapitulate MSC’s weekly ports of call into Turkey

- Main string:
  Le Havre - Felixstowe - Hamburg - Antwerp - Istanbul - Gemlik - Aliaga (tt 10 days )

- Marmara express:
  Felixstowe - Antwerp - Gebze - Istanbul - Gemlik

- Aegean service:
  Felixstowe - Antwerp - Piraeus - Thessalonica - Izmir (11 days)
